PaperMonster has recently just been featured in two fantastic interviews. The first is through Carmine Magazine ( http://carminemag.com/2009/02/04/papermonster/) and the second for Phawker News (http://www.phawker.com/2009/02/06/artsy-street-fighting-man/). Carmine Mag covers topics including my process, motivation, and upcoming projects while Phawker has in depth coverage of the "Cut Copy" stencil group show currently open at T & P Fine Art. Check out more info below::
CM: What kind of an environment do you need to create in and what does your workspace look like (pictures welcomed)?
PM: My work environment is one word “CHAOS.” There is paper everywhere! I sit in the middle of the room and I create a circle where I can reach all around me and grab any supplies I need at any time. I choose everything I do very carefully and there is an entire mindset of controlled chaos. I love creative environment but it is a huge problem to clean up. After I finish one painting, I start the entire process all over again.

From Phawker
"You’ll find Papermonster at the show tonight repping his work and T&P Fine Art. ”I believe that T&P Fine Art is an incredible venue with no limits. They are bringing the best of the best to the public and you can really see that they want to showcase new things that will inspire and bring something unique for the public at large. This stencil show is their way of demonstrating the variety of styles and subjects within stencil art as well as between stencil artists throughout the world and it is an opportunity that you do not want to pass up. I will definitely be there for the opening with a massive amount of free stickers to hand out to everyone I meet or walks through those gallery doors.”
